Andi Cueny Ward, LAPC, NCC, Ed. S

Therapist
Welcome! My name is Andi and I look forward to meeting you. I am a Licensed
Associate Professional Counselor in Georgia and a National Certified Counselor with 28
years of experience in education and raising a family, including 2 years as a school
counselor. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with adolescents and adults as
they navigate family changes, relationship challenges, and the many transitions that
shape our lives.
I hold both a Master’s and Specialist degree in Counselor Education and Professional
Counseling. My extensive background in education allows me to understand firsthand
the academic, social, and emotional pressures individuals and families experience. I am
especially passionate about supporting clients as they adjust to shifting family
dynamics, cope with loss, and work through seasons of uncertainty with strength and
self-compassion.
My counseling style is person centered and rooted first in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
(CBT), helping clients recognize and reframe unhelpful thought patterns that contribute
to anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm. I also incorporate principles of Acceptance
and Commitment Therapy (ACT), guiding clients to clarify their values and take
intentional steps toward a life that feels purposeful and aligned, even in the presence of
pain or difficulty. With additional training in trauma and grief, I approach each client’s
story with sensitivity and care, creating a steady, supportive environment where healing
and growth can unfold at your pace.
As a single mom of three adult children, I bring not only professional experience but
also personal insight into resilience, change, and the evolving nature of family. Outside
of my work, I enjoy reading and traveling, especially to the beach whenever I can, and I
look forward to seeing more of the world in the years ahead.
It would be an honor to support you as you process your experiences, strengthen your
coping tools, and move toward a life that feels grounded, meaningful, and truly your
own.
