Gracyn Jennings, LPC

Therapist
Hey! I am Gracyn and I am looking forward to working alongside you on your journey!
I received my B.S. in Psychological Science from the University of North Georgia and my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Auburn University in August 2022. Providing authentic and compassionate care in effort to create a safe and acceptable environment for adolescents and young adults is what I am most passionate about. I have experience working with individuals who have and are experiencing trauma, depression, suicidal ideation, interpersonal relationships problems, self-esteem issues, and anxiety.
I also have experience working in the hospital setting with children and adults who experience severe mental illness, personality disorders, and psychosis. Through this experience, I learned that those who need support the most often don't have access to effective resources to maintain a happy, healthy, and well-balanced life. This led me to my passion for working with individuals with severe mental illness and being an advocate for those who do not have access to the resources they need to maintain mental and physical wellness.
The theoretical orientation I generally use is integrative in nature, pulling in elements from Person-centered Theory, Internal Family Systems, and CBT. I will use an integrative approach to therapy because each individual's needs will change throughout the therapeutic process. Having an integrative approach has allowed me to adapt to the unique needs you bring to your therapeutic journey. I look forward to working with you. Thank you for letting me be a part of your healing process!
