Veronica McClanahan, MA, NCC

Therapist
Hi! My name is Veronica, and I am so glad you are here!
Whether I am working with a child or an adult, my goal is to create a compassionate, collaborative space where my clients feel supported, empowered, and equipped to achieve lasting growth and healing.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of North Georgia and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University.
I provide counseling services for children ages 12 and younger and women ages 18 and older. I have experience working with individuals experiencing a variety of concerns, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, and other mental health challenges.
When working with children, I primarily utilize Adlerian Play Therapy and Creative Arts Expressive Therapy. Through developmentally appropriate, creative interventions, I help children increase emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, build confidence, and develop a greater sense of belonging and significance. When working with women, I use an Adlerian, goal-oriented approach while incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Creative Arts Expressive-Based Therapy, and Reality Therapy techniques to promote healthier thought patterns, effective decision-making, and meaningful personal growth. I work with women and children
For clients who desire it, I also offer Christian counseling by thoughtfully integrating biblical principles and faith into the therapeutic process.
It would be an honor to walk alongside you on this journey!
Veronica is under clinical supervision, working toward independent licensure in compliance with Georgia state licensing requirements. She is currently under the supervision of Laura Hafner, MS, LPC, RPT-S, CPCS.
