Heather Bosquet, LMSW

Therapist
Welcome!
I’m so glad you are here and you’ve come to the right place! My name is Heather Bousquet and I am a Licenced Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia where I also obtained a Certification in Marriage and Family therapy. My true passion includes helping each individual find their unique voice. I genuinely enjoy being a compassionate counselor for children, teens, and families going through difficult times and transitions.
I have many years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. I often work with individuals who have been diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, Developmental Disabilities, as well as anxiety, depression, self-harm, and many more. I’m also a huge supporter of LGBTQ individuals and communities.
In my career I’ve worked in a variety of settings such as inpatient behavioral health, private practice, and community mental health care. Way back in my early career, I worked as a parent/child coach and was a caretaker for children and young adults with special needs.
As for therapeutic approaches, I often am found using Humanistic and Person Centered styles, but I frequently find that having an eclectic use of several different theoretical modalities to be most effective when working with individuals and families with difficult behavioral and cognitive issues. For example, sometimes I may be found using a Solution-Focused model, a Structural, or a Cognitive-Behavioral approach… amongst other modalities such as Directive and Non-Directive Play Therapy!
My goal is to assist patients in finding solutions to their problems by building upon the strengths they already have. I believe all individuals are unique and they each deserve to achieve their goals and to pursue their passions!
I cannot wait to work with you! Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
