Shelby Adams, LMSW

Therapist
Hi, I'm Shelby Adams. I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker with a passion for helping adolescents, young adults and adults navigate life's challenges while building the skills needed for long-term success. I believe therapy should be a supportive, collaborative process where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
My approach combines evidence-based interventions with a strengths-based perspective, focusing on helping clients develop emotional regulation, healthy coping skills, self-confidence, and effective problem-solving abilities. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD-related challenges, anger management difficulties, family conflict, school-related stress, social concerns, and major life transitions.
I have a particular passion for working with teenagers and young adults as they navigate identity development, increasing independence, academic pressures, relationships, and future planning. Together, we identify barriers to success, build practical skills, and create realistic goals that support emotional well-being and personal growth.
I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can openly explore their experiences, develop insight, and gain confidence in their ability to overcome challenges. My goal is to help each client recognize their strengths, build resilience, and move toward a more fulfilling and balanced life.
Please feel free to reach out! I am looking forward to hearing from you!
Shelby is clinically supervised, working toward independent licensure in compliance with Georgia state licensing requirements.
