Danae Nater, MSW

Hi! I am Danae, and I am so glad you’re here!
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and Delivery Administration from the University of North Georgia and my Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia, along with a Certificate in Substance Use Counseling. I am currently pursuing my Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Professional Counseling at the University of West Georgia.
Though my experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, and families across healthcare, education, and mental health settings, I especially enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship and family challenges, self-esteem, identity, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next.
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed and solution-focused. I recognize that our experiences, culture, family, relationships, and environment can all influence how we see ourselves and navigate life. I strive to create a welcoming and supportive space where each client feels understood, respected, and comfortable being themselves. As a bilingual therapist, I am also able to provide services in both English and Spanish, helping make therapy more accessible to clients who may feel more comfortable expressing themselves in either language.
Therapy looks different for everyone, and together we can identify what is most helpful for YOU!
You will also see another friendly face joining us during sessions, my therapy dog, Beau! Beau will bring a little extra comfort and calm to the room.
I look forward to getting to know you and creating a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and able to be yourself!
