Enrriqueta (Q) Van Tassel, MSW

Hi! My name is Enrriqueta, but you can call me Q! Wondering if therapy can be a tool to re-discover strengths and hope? I'm here to open that space for you!
To tell you a little bit about me, I am a recent graduate with a Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia, and I’m passionate about supporting children and teens through life’s challenges. During my academic career, I worked in a variety of settings, including the Division of Family and Children Services and a domestic violence organization, where I built a strong foundation in trauma-informed, client-centered care. These experiences deepened my commitment to creating a safe, compassionate space where young people feel heard and valued. Here with Therapeutic Impressions, I look forward to building my clinical skills in a way that makes a lasting difference in children’s mental health and wellbeing!
I strive to work with children navigating anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, and life transitions. I draw from a range of methodologies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and play-based techniques where I focus on using a strengths-based perspective in order to make children feel empowered and hopeful. I believe healing happens through relationships, and I’m excited to build healthy relationships and walk alongside children and families as they grow!
Outside of work, I am a proud crazy cat lady who loves my three (and counting!) cats and the joy they bring to my life. When I’m not with them, I enjoy baking and trying out new cookie recipes to add a little sweetness to my day!
You are not alone in this. Let’s work together to help your child thrive! Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have!
Q is clinically supervised, working toward independent licensure in compliance with Georgia state licensing requirements.
