Virtual Therapist

Accepting new clients via telehealth in Georgia.

Hi there! I'm Catherine, an Associate Professional Counselor in Georgia and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). As a CRC, I'm trained to work with people facing disabilities, chronic conditions, and major life transitions - helping them overcome barriers and build on their existing strengths.

I moved from Texas to Atlanta to pursue my master's degree at Mercer University, where I discovered the Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling program. During my graduate fieldwork at Emory University's Wesley Woods Hospital, I worked with adults dealing with severe and persistent mental illness needing stabilization. My clinical background includes individual, family, and group therapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Since 2024, I've provided trauma counseling at no cost to incarcerated women through Heartbound Ministries - an area of deep personal and professional importance to me. Through this work, I have developed extensive experience supporting individuals and families affected by incarceration, walking alongside them through re-entry, healing, and rebuilding their lives.

In sessions, I combine the investigative curiosity of psychodynamic therapy with the warmth and respect of person-centered approaches. I bring my full, authentic self into our sessions and share ways I can relate - only when it serves your healing. I specialize in supporting teens and adults for the following concerns:

● Trauma, PTSD & Abuse

● Grief & Loss

● Life Transitions & Stress Management

● Post Incarceration Syndrome/Re-entry Support

● Incarceration of a Loved One

● Depression & Mood Disorders

● Anxiety & Panic Disorders

● Visible & Invisible Disabilities

● Self-Esteem & Confidence Building

● Spirituality & Faith

● Relationship Issues

I have had the privilege of being trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an effective modality for treating trauma and other concerns. It's important to understand that trauma isn't always the "big" obvious events; Sometimes we don't realize the full impact of an experience until much later, when we begin to see how it shaped our beliefs about ourselves and the world. Exploring your inner world takes courage, and I'm honored to walk alongside you.

Catherine is clinically supervised by Brianna Owen, LPC, CPCS (GA License: LPC005256), working toward independent licensure in compliance with Georgia state licensing requirements.
